Hello and welcome to my guide, I hope you enjoy it. Before I start, I just want to say thanks to gamefaqs for posting this guide on their web site, my brother for slowing me down... I mean speeding me up of course and to all the people who have written guides for games. Thanks; they really inspired me for this one.
Note: All this writing is my own work. Please do not copy my work in any way apart from in personal use!
Note this is a guide for people wanting to play as Aragorn, though it may be used for other characters thing as the levels are nearly the same.
This is my first guide and I hope it's easy to read and find out the information you want to know. Warning! This guide contains cheats, which may spoil the game. You have been warned!

1 Controls
----------

Okay. The controls on the 2 towers are very easy to get the hang of. They soon become second nature to you. Use this part of the guide as a reference if you get stuck.

X button= A speed attack. Use this for killing weak enemies quickly.

Triangle button= Power strike. Used for breaking shields and strong enemies.

Circle button= Kick back. Used for kicking orcs off cliffs.

Square button= Parry enemy blows.

R2 button= Stabs enemies while there on the floor. Does one shot kill.

L2 button= Dodge. Used for dodging enemy blows.

L1+X button= Fires arrow. Used for killing far away enemies.

2 Some Good Rules

Here, I have written a few rules you should follow in order to keep the gameplay fun. Follow these rules and it will make the game so much funner and easier. Though it's up to you.
-First of all, the rating for your kills does make a difference, the better rated kill you preform, the more experience you gain.
-Second, only buy the skills that you are going to use, if for exampleyou don't like using the R2 butto then buying orc bane is a bad idea.
-Third, don't worry to much about your health and ammo of arrows, if you happen to run out and are in desperate need of health or arrows just readthe cheats section of the walk through.
-Fourth, if you get a low rating on one of the early levels replay it get more levels quicker. Low experience on the first few levels can set youback alot.
-Fifth, learn your skills, skills are useless, unless you learn how to use them.
-Sixth, don't let other near by orcs and goblins distract you, orcs that arn't attacking you should be left alone while in battle with other enemies,you don't want to be battles with over three orcs or goblins, uruk hai. Try and keep the battles with these guys to a max of two.

3 Aragorn: an Insight
------------------

Aragon is a ranger of the north, a skilled swords man who's attacks shake the mountains of Mordor. Many as strider know him. Though his true identity is yet to be revealed. For he is the son of Arathorn heir of islidur.

4 Level 1 Prologue
------------------
Whatever character you decide to play as, you must play this level any way so don't get confused. This is just a level to get you into the swing of things. You don't actually play as Aragorn in this level, though I thought I'd go through it any way seeing as you must complete in order to unlock Aragorn's first level. In this level you play as Islidur. He's very strong and quick, this makes the level short and easy. In this level there are only 2 types of bad guys, orc's with shields and orc melee's. Watch the cool cut scene. Be ready to fight. Get used to the controls, try using your speed attack and power attack. Don't worry about losing life. You've got plenty of it. Just kill the orcs as they come. You can get excellent ratings for your attacks by kicking them into the lava at the top of the battlefield. If you can kill many of these in a row you may be able to gain a perfect score. When you meet the orcs with shields you will have to use your power attack to break there shields. Just using a quick attack is a bad idea and nearly impossible. Just keep on fending off the groups of orcs until you come to the last cut scene. Level complete. You should get at least a good rating, maybe even excellent if you use the knock back attack a lot.

5 Level 2 Weather Top
---------------------
This is Aragorn's first mission. In order to complete the level you must kill all 5 Ring Wraiths. This level also is quite easy to complete to. Ring Wraiths are invincible to any normal attack even your Power strike. You need to find a weakness. If you have seen the film, you'll know what to do. In the middle of the Weather Top you see a fire, go up to it and press the triangle button. Aragorn torch will be lit. Ring wraiths weakness is fire. Attack them using your power attack. Try to dodge their blows; getting your perfect bar to the max should be easy. After killing two of the hooded guys you'll see a cut scene were Frodo is stabbed. Frodo is in trouble. Go to the spot were he's been stabbed and fight off the enemies before he dies. After a while your firey torch will burn out. Don't worry, just go light it again by the fire. Once all five Ring wraiths are dead or have run away with their capes on fire the level is over. You should get at least excellent, perfect is easy to once you get the hang of it. With your experience the choice is yours but I suggest buying Islidur's swift terror. Use this by pressing XXT to increase your skill meter quicker.

6 Level 3 Gate of Moria
-----------------------
This is the first full level you'll play through on this game and it's a bit of a challenge. You can play as one of three of the main characters. Start off by going down the hill. Break the chest using your power attack to gain more experience. As you go round the first corner some orcs will come rolling down the hill. You can try and kick them off the edge of the cliff or try out your new move or moves. Trying to get full skill bar this early on is hard and pointless. There are only three and they don't have shields. Keep on going following the road. The wall will break apart and a trickle of orcs will spill out kill them with a power attack. There’s no rush. Check in gap in the holes for items such as arrows. Keep on going until the camera angle changes, watch the cut scene then proceed. There are some orc archers on some rocks. Use your arrows to kill them. Watch the next cut scene then proceed up the path. Keep your distance, shoot the archers on the rocks then run forwards as more goblins crawl up the wall kick them off the edge to get your skill bar up to the max. Continue up the path shooting the goblins on the rocks until you come to a hill. Kick the orcs off the cliff as they fight you. More will come after you've killed them. Just give them a little shove like before. make your way through the level until you reach a lake. In part one of the lake, take out the orc archers then make your way across the marshes. Orcs and goblins pop out of the water and knock you down form behind. Have the parry button ready for action. Repeat this for the second part of the swamp. Once your safe and sound make your way along the watery path. No wait Gimli is down, its time for a boss. This guy is not hard. As his tentacles burst out the water press the parry button to fend off his strikes. The arms will wave around; strike one with your power hit to make the monsters face appears in the water. Shoot it with an arrow. Repeat this until the creature is dead. Level completed. You should in all levels get at least good. Getting excellent on this level is hard. With your experience points I suggest buying rangers fury and rush attack.

7 Level 4 Balins Tomb
---------------------
We are now in balin's Tomb. There's nothing much new in here apart from the cave troll who can be hard to tackle. All you have to do to start off with is kill the goblins that run into the tomb. There about 60 to kill. Don't sound to scared. It's a good idea to hang around the enterance of the tomb so you can kill them before they get into the main camber. Use Islidur's swift terror to get your skill bar quickly. You should be able to get loads of perfects. Using the quick attack is a very bad idea. There are some with shields so be careful. Two special moves will be enough to gain perfects. After a while a cave troll bursts through the gate. Forget about the goblins. This guy can be a hard nut to crack. Run towards him, use your power attack then dodge. Do this until you see a cut scene with Aragorn running up onto the balcony. Now all you have to do is stand behind one of the pillars and fire your arrows at him until he falls. If he strikes a pillar to many times it will break. Once he’s dead, the level is over. You should probably get at least excellent. Perfect is easy to. With your buckets of experience you should buy Islidur's war rush and the rising attack. 

8 Level 5 Amon Hen
------------------
First of all, if Frodo’s health reaches 0 you will fail the mission, also if Borimir’s health goes down to 0 you will fail the mission. In this level you will only meet uruk hai. Their armour is strong and their damage worrying. Be careful of the uruk berserkers, get knocked down with one of them on the loose, you’ll be as good as dead. If you look at that meter at the top of the screen you will see a blue bar and a number starting at 75. This is a countdown on how many more bad guys you’ve got to kill before you can proceed to Borimir. So kill every uruk you can stick your sword through. You start off surrounded by uruk warriors. Use combo attacks such as Isilidur’s swift terror to kill your foe quickly and get the meter up quicker. Continue down the path, you meet a group of uruk hai running down the hill with arrows firing at you from the bridge on the horizon. Kill the uruk hai at the bottom of the hill using your speed attack. Dodge the arrows when they come towards you. Once the uruk hai are dead fire your bow at the uruks on the bridge then continue. As you continue you come to some more crossbow men. Hide behind the broken brick wall, until they’ve stopped firing run out and shoot them to a land far far away. Any uruks that are left kill them with your power strike. As you continue, you are ambushed. Some archers throw some firebombs at you. Be careful, standing in fire is a bad idea so don’t do it. You can either fire at them to reduce the amount of uruks left to kill or just run through the fire sustaining a bit of damage. (The fire will burn out eventually if you wait a minute.)You should have about 30-40-uruk-hai left to kill after that. Go down into the ruins and use your power strike to kill the uruks effectively, watch out for the firebombs that may be thrown in your direction. After that go down the steps on to more ruins. There are some archers behind bricks that you can’t hit with your sword, so use your bow instead. After that proceed onto a bridge were you can finish off the last of the uruk hai. Watch the cut scene then proceed onto the boss, Lurtz. This boss can do mass damage, getting perfect is easy just stand behind a stone pillar and wait for him to try and attack you. His sword will get stuck in the pillar. Now all you have to do is use a combo attack a couple of times till you get the skill meter up to full. Then get his sword stuck again then hit him with a special strike then it will be over. Getting perfect should be very easy. Buy the strength of stewards to increase your health.

9 Level 6 Fangorn Forest
------------------------
You will a meet a mixture of creatures on this level, make sure you’ve bought the rising attack. You meet many types of orcs and a couple of berserkers. Watch out for the three trolls walking about. To start off with walk down the path, be ready, some orcs ambush you on your way to the fallen tree. Some goblins will drop down from the tree above you and some orcs will burst out of the fallen tree carrying shields. Use a special move to knock down most of the enemies. After that break and then kill the remaining orcs carrying shields, then use your killing move on the knocked down orcs, after that proceed through the hollow tree trunk. This next bit can be hard without rising attack. As you go through the trunk an uruk hai berserker, he strikes hard. All you have to do is let him knock you down then press the X button to use your rising attack; this will knock him down, and then use your killing move to finish him off. When he’s dead go through the other end of the fallen log. As you make your way across the path you see two orcs flying into the wall next to you, don’t be to scared, proceed round the corner to see a Forest Troll. If you’ve bought the rangers fury this battle will be easy, just get behind him, power it up for a couple of seconds then let your fury go. Two or three shots should kill him. If you don’t have use the same tactic you used to kill the cave troll, power strike then dodge and so on. Once he’s dead break the fence with your power strike, you then see some orcs around a small pit. Creep up behind them and kick them in to get an excellent rating, kill the rest with a special move. Once their dead go down the path on to the stream. There is an orc with a shield and two with bows, kick them down the waterfall then proceed up the stream, some orcs will pop out the water, just kill the with your special move or use your power strike then the killing move. Work your way through the water until you come to water fall, make sure you have a special move ready. As you through you find your self in a cave, as you enter a Forest Troll bursts through the wall, use the same tactics I told you about before. When you turn the next corner a group of orcs are waiting for you take them out but be careful, some carry double blades, which can do serious damage. After you’ve done that, break the log then follow the path. After a few steps some goblins drop down from the tree, try to use your special attack to gain perfect hits once there dead some more will drop down, keep on killing them then break the log and proceed the end part of the level.You see two paths; take the one on the right, break your way through the vines and open the chest on the other side. You now face two trolls, don’t worry about them using any team work, take them on one at a time, use your rangers fury to kill them quick. Or to get more experience you use Islidur’s swift terror to get excellent or perfect. You should get at least an excellent seeing as there is plenty of opportunity for good hits. Purchase Isildur’s Deliverance and any others you fancy with spare points. Just remember to stick to the skill buying golden rule, don’t buy it if you aren’t going to use it!

10 Level 7 Plains of Rohan
--------------------------
Okay, first off, there are lots of uruk hai in this level, before you start make sure you've bought rising attack. This will knock down enemies after you've been knocked down. You start off near the village gate, two uruks come out to meet you, take then down then proceed to the court yard or town square. There are another group of uruks waiting for you. You see the life bar at the top right of the screen, that is the life bar of the villagers, if this reaches 0, you will fail the mission. Take out the rest of the uruk hai, wait a moment then Gandalf will blast the door open that leads into the bar. Enter it. Inside you see a group of trapped village folk, slah you way through the chairs and tables, then strike the water barrel. The fire will be put out, they thank you then run out. Watch the old man fall onto the fire that is blocking the stair way, suprise suprise, he's put the fire. Go up the stairs and break your way through the barricade. Kill the two uruks in the room then the crossbow man in the door way, proceed through the door. Go round the burning corner to meet another set of uruks and a beserker. Take out the beserker first, then the rest using your special attck. Go up over the roof, killing the archers on the way. You see a burning barricade in front of you, fire at the water barrel behind it then hack your way through. Two uruks are at the top of the road kill the with a normal power strike. Continue, you soon see a villager run out of a building, go into the building him ran from. Go down the stairs to meet another uruk, knock him down then finish him off with a killing blow. As you go down the stairs an uruk bursts through the blocked door. Hit him with a couple of arrows then proceed through the door. As you exit find Gandalf in trouble, go over and help him with the army of uruk hai. Once there dead kill the beserkers on the stairs then break the barricade and make your way up to the court yard. A new health bar arrives on the screen, go to the place were the villagers are trapped. Don't let them go yet, hang around the area, fending off any bad guys that come your way. There are a couple of beserkers roaming around so watch out for them. After the uruks are dead release the trapped people using a power strike, the level is over. Getting a level higher than good is hard, if you get excellent don't replay it. Upgrade with your experience Master Sword.

11 Levl 8 The wesfold
---------------------
This level contains a lot of enemies, including ones with large explosives on their backs. If you get to near them they will light the explosives and you will sustain major damage. Tp kill them all you have to do is lock onto them with your bow and fire. Their packs should explode when they are hit. You start of near a small group of houses, there are barrels of explosives near the sides of the gates and houses. Run into the middle of the square and fight the uruks, only use your power strike, if you use a combo move and you accidently hit one of the barrels you could be in deep trouble. once they are dead shoot the barrels and continue. Go round the corner. Quickly run towards the crossbow uruk and knock him down using your power strike, jump back and hit the barrel with your arrows, more will come. Kill them using your special moves.
